UMGC MDE program description
The master's program aims at developing knowledge and competencies in the following areas of distance education and online learning:

UMUC & MDE Accrediations & Awards
UMUC is accredited by the Commission on Higher Education of the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools in Philadelphia, a accrediting agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.
The MDE program is accredited by the European Foundation for Management Development-Technology-Enhanced Learning ( EFMD CEL), Swiss Centre for Innovations in Learning, University of St. Gallen, Switzerland.
The MDE program has won the Program of Excellence within the Distance Education Community of Practice award from the UCEA and the Most Outstanding Online Teaching and Learning Program award from the Sloan Consortium
