OBJECTIVE
Innovate@iLEC23 competition will be the third innovation competition to be hosted during iLEC23. The aim of the competition is to encourage the sharing of educational and language innovation from various experts in the field of language and education. Innovate@iLEC23 is organised with the following objectives:
Share the best practices of innovation in educational and language pedagogy.
Acknowledge innovations made by academicians, teachers and students that have the potential to be disseminated to a higher level.
CATEGORIES AND PARTICIPATION FEES
Participation is divided into 2 categories:
Academician / Industry - RM 100.00
Student category - RM 70.00

COMPETITION TERMS & CONDITIONS
Any innovations that were previously used to compete in previous innovation competitions need to make new amendments/ improvements.
The video footage submitted must be ORIGINAL, and not the result of any participation in another innovation competition (participants must fill out a declaration form for this verification).

PRESENTATION GUIDE
Innovate@iLEC presenters are required to upload a video recording of the presentation about their innovation idea or innovation project on YouTube.
Presenters need to ensure that the recording contains:

🔵 Contribution 🔵 Achievement 🔵 Collaboration 🔵 Creativity & Style 🔵 Presentation
The video recording must be within 3 minutes and presentations may be in Malay, English or Arabic language.
The procedures of uploading a video to YouTube
1. Browse for youtube.com
2. Log in to your YouTube account or sign up and create a google account at https://accounts.google.com/SignUp.
3. Click ‘Create a video or post’ hyperlink button at the top right of the screen and click and then click ‘Upload video’.
4. Click ‘Select files’ or you can just drag and drop your presentation video from your computer.
5. Enter the following information:
Title: Fill in the title of your presentation video using the standard format, Innovate@iLEC2023_Participant ID_innovation title. For example, Innovate@iLEC2023_101_i-Mu’jam in teaching Vocabulary in ESL Classroom.
Descriptions: Type a brief description of your presentation video. For example, this video describes the use of i-Mu’jam among 1st year students at Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia.
Audience: choose your audience.
Video elements: Skip this step by clicking next.
Sharing (Visibility): Select the ‘public’ setting
6. Once the presentation video is ready, copy the link (for example, https://youtu.be/gkaQpnnVTus) and post the link into the innovation information tab as well as the YouTube link of the animated video recording and post it in the following link: bit.ly/innovideo2023 before or on 6 August 2023.
AWARD
Each presentation will receive a ‘WINNER’ e-certificate (with the names of all innovation members and award received).
Application for e-certificate (due to the participants’ mistake), will be charged RM10.
The winners of the competition will be announced during the closing ceremony on 6 September 2023.
INNOVATE@iLEC23 EVALUATION CRITERIA
Each Innovate@iLEC presentation (in video recording) will be judged by 2 juries. The evaluation is based on the following criteria.
