A. We work in several roles.

1. Headquarters (leaders, sub-leaders, administration, accounting, auditing)

2. Supporters (grade level exchange, public relations, child safety)

3. Management Team
   ・Management of events for children (Yosakoi, sumo wrestling tournament, etc.)
   ・Management of events for parents with children (parent-child softball games, music festivals, etc.)
   ・Parents' exchange activities（Parents' Volleyball Club, Bell Mark Club)

4. Cooperating members (spot help recruited for each event)

*The Graduation Committee (commonly known as "SOTSUTAI") is a different organization from the PTA. It is composed of volunteer parents of the 6th grade students of the current school year.  SOTSUTAI is responsible for planning and managing the production of the graduation album, the thank-you party, and other events.

A. Yes, it is voluntary. However, we would like as many parents as possible to join.

We need everyone's cooperation to realize the PTA's founding aim,“For children’s happiness”. The more people we have, the more activities we can do for children.

A. We ask everyone to pay the membership fee equally so that all children can have the same opportunities to experience the same things.

The main uses of membership fees are for entrance and graduation souvenirs, expenses related to events for children and parents, expenses for PTA supporters and management team activities, PTA insurance, and cost to reserve for anniversary events.

For example, the PTA membership fee covers the expenses of participating in the Fukuro Festival (Yosakoi), replacing gloves and other equipment used for the parent-child softball tournament, and the materials for the New Year's rice cake-pounding event. Please also see the financial report.

★ The communication book, communication bag, and parent straps that are provided to students upon enrollment are also provided through the PTA.

A. It is optional. 

Some events require advance registration, and others require additional expenses (for preparation of teaching materials, etc.).

A.  Parents' participation is necessary when thinking about experiences that cannot be done at home (playing with water, making rice cakes, etc.) and events for multicultural exchange (playing, cooking, etc.) that are unique to Ikebukuro Elementary School, where children of many nationalities learn together. In order to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for the children, a great deal of parental support (wisdom and manpower) is needed for preparing and running the events. The more manpower we have, the more activities we can do for children. However, there are some activities that cannot be carried out due a to lack of manpower.

A. Yes, you can. Everyone starts as a beginner. We value and encourage new perspectives and insights from those joining us for the first time. Let's enjoy our activities together.

A. First, please become a cooperating member and help where possible. We hope you will get to know the atmosphere of PTA activities at Ikebukuro Elementary School and take part in where you are able to contribute.

A. We hope to meet people who do the same work or are in the same grade. We hope that you will enjoy working while talking with us.

A. Parental participation in the events is optional. However, by joining and paying the membership fee, you will be helping us financially. We would appreciate it if you could help us.
