MICROSCOPY USAGE RULES AND BOOKING LINK
1. Booking for the confocal microscope opens every Monday for the immediate next week only.
2. The day time booking slots are 7:00AM-10:00AM, 10:00AM-2:00PM, 2:00PM-5:00PM, 5:00PM-8:00PM and 8:00PM to 11:00PM.
3. Longer hours can be booked on Wednesdays of the week between 5-11PM and between 11:00PM and 7:00AM in the night and on weekends.
4. Confocal microscope booking is allowed for trained users as per the booking rules below.
Restricted booking is allowed during Monday 7:00AM to Friday 11:00PM of this week for the whole of the following week from Monday to Friday. Two time slots per person may be reserved: one slot between 10AM and 5PM and one slot between 7:00AM-10:00AM and 5:00PM-8:00PM and 8:00PM-11:00PM. You may book shorter hours than the slot time indicated.
Wednesdays of every week from 5PM to 11PM is a long 6 hour slot for imaging. Other longer hours are only allowed from 11PM to 7AM in the night. A maximum of 2 slots can be booked with long hours in the night.
Relaxed booking is allowed from Friday 11:00PM to Monday 7:00AM. This means that the booking restrictions of 2 slots per week, long hour on Wednesday and in the night will be relaxed. If there are slots available you may book multiple times per day and on multiple days but please be reasonable about sharing confocal time with your colleagues.
5. If a booking is canceled then the user should inform the previous user by calling the person and the confocal groups email list (iiser-bio-dept-microscopy-user-group@googlegroups.com) about the availability of the slot.

Example of a booking:
1. For example booking for the week of 17th to 23rd March 2014, you can book only on Monday 10th March at 10 AM to Friday 14th March 2014 11:00PM.
2. Here you may book one slot between 10-2 PM or 2-5PM for each microscope during these hours and one slot between 7:00-10:00AM OR 5:00-8:00PM OR 8:00PM-11:00PM. A total of two slots are allowed per microscope per week.
3. Wednesdays 5-11 PM is a long slot and is reserved for long imaging experiments only.
4. From Friday 7th March 2014, 5:00 PM onwards you can book available imaging times during the 10:00AM to 8:00PM, the long imaging slot if unused and multiple slots in the week during the night but please be reasonable about sharing confocal time with your colleagues.
Everytime a new user is ready to use the microscope after completing the training and related exercise, he or she will have an user ID created in the calendar which will give them access to book the microscope.
Data should be deleted on the 1st week of every month from the confocal microscopes as per bookings on the respective calendar.
External users should communicate through microscopy@iiserpune.ac.in to utilize the facility.
For external users booking sessions are provided on chargeable basis. Price list will be provided to those who are interested in using the facility. Booking can only be done when one of the technical person is around in IISER, Pune. Due to our busy confocal usage schedule we are forced to limit outside users. We are able to allow a maximum of 1 booking session of 3-4 hours on each working microscope for outside users per week. There are several outside users, so there may be a queue for this booking.
If one needs to cancel the slot, they have to mail at microscopy@iiserpune.ac.in or reach on mobile 9967268605(Vijay) or 9611278392(Santosh). Failed to do so and any misconduct with microscope will be black listed and will not be allowed to use any of the microscope for next 30 days.
