Student Mentor Fieldwork Experience Contract
Complete your digital contract on Qualtrics. Once you hit submit the survey will initiate the signature approval process for your host-country mentor and language mentor.
We recommend reviewing the contact content with your host-country mentor.
Health and Safety Form
Complete your Health and Safety digital form on Qualtrics. Once you hit submit the survey will initiate the signature approval process for your host-country mentor and it will then be sent to the NAU Environmental Health & Safety office for review and recommendations.

MODL BAs: Your Language Mentor is your 408 instructor of record
CCS BAs: Professor Dunja Jelesijevic is your 408 instructor of record
You will work with your IGP Language Mentor (MODL BA) or Dunja Jelesijevic (CCS BA) to submit your ASN|FRE|GER|JPN|SPA 408 proposal.
Full fieldwork experience (most students)= 540 hours
Hybrid fieldwork experience (Dual degree and special situations)=270 hours
Your instructor of record will outline the course deliverables in the syllabus
Some institutions will enroll you in local "fieldwork" credit, which will come with its own requirements
408 leads into LAN 450C (Language Capstone) and the IGP Summit
If you are working to earn subject-major credit, you must communicate with your advisor or college faculty directly.
BIO majors: Your BIO Advisor.
ENV majors: Dr. Taylor Joyal.
HRM majors: Suzanne Taylor. // For other business majors is not possible to obtain credit at this point in time.
SICCs Majors: Dr. Isaac Shaffer. Complete this Individualized Study Contract and send to Dr Shaffer.
