The Treaty of Neuilly (1919)

The Treaty of Neuilly was signed with Bulgaria on 27th November 1919.

Territorial Terms:

• Southern Dobruja was given to Romania (despite very few Romanians living there), while Western Thrace was awarded to Greece.

• Bulgaria lost territory to Greece, Yugoslavia and Romania.

• Bulgaria was forced to hand over its Aegean coastline to Greece.

Military Terms:

• They had to reduce its army to a maximum of 20 000 

Others:

• They had to pay reparations of over $400 million, although 75% were later remitted.

• They were required to recognize the existence of Yugoslavia.
