Interfraternity Council (IFC) oversees all of fraternity life on campus and plans campus-wide events to engage more students in Greek life and provide support to the existing chapters we have on campus. We also work closely with the Panhellenic Council, which oversees sorority life.
The Council consists of a President, Vice President, VP of Programming, VP of Public Relations, and VP of Recruitment. We hold weekly meetings to increase engagement in fraternity life by planning events and checking in with delegates from each chapter to address any questions or concerns that our chapters have. We work to increase the efficiency and autonomy of our campus' organizations while collaborating with faculty and other student organizations to educate one another and bring other organizations together.
The most entertaining and extensive project done by our IFC and Panhellinic Council each year is Greek Week. During this week, all chapters from fraternities and sororities go head to head in various mini games, challenges, and activities to earn points throughout the entire week to see which chapter is victorious. Last year's theme was Wild West, and Alpha Tau Omega took home the win. Stay tuned this Spring for Greek Week 2025!

Joining a fraternity isn't as simple as joining a club or sport. Part of the process involves "rushing", or getting to know the various Greek organizations on campus. Throughout the first few weeks of a semester, take time to hang out with our campus organizations and get to know the people you may end up pledging with. If a Fraternity wishes to grant you membership, they will offer you a "bid", or a formal invitation to join. After that, the pledging process begins, typically involving education seminars on your chapter or national fraternity's history and the brothers within it.
Note: A student can only accept one bid from a fraternity, and this is why it is very important for you to spend time with all fraternities on campus to make sure you make the right choice for yourself!
