• Your appointment time is just for your loved one.

• To properly provide massage, a medical intake is necessary. Permission may be needed from a Guardian or POA if there is one.

Things to know

• The individual receiving care should be able to communicate permission, refusal, and if they are in pain.

• Inappropriate behavior will not be tolerated. If it is an issue, the session will be discontinued. 

• Due to needs of fragile elders, a 15 minute massage is typical. Up to 30 minutes may be needed for each session for transitions and consultation with staff/POA.

• If client has had a recent injury or severe pain, they will need a doctor’s written release for massage therapy.

• Your LMT will be held harmless for any issues that may arise from current or future care. 

Planning for your time

• Drink plenty of water before and afterwards.

• Please be sure to use good body hygiene prior to the massage.

What can I expect?

• Clients can be given a massage in whatever position is most comfortable for them. 

• Your LMT will take notes about each session so that the best plan for your continued care can be made. HIPAA privacy practices are followed carefully.

• Personal and professional boundaries are respected at all times.

• Various modalities may be utilized to help your body in the best way possible.

• Your LMT will chat with client and staff about the experience and discuss continued care.

What does my LMT need to know?

• Your therapist will have you fill out intake forms giving your health history and current needs.

• How you are feeling and any areas of pain or tenderness.

• ALWAYS UPDATE your therapist about medical changes or medical care being provided.

• If the techniques or pressure is not adequate, feels uncomfortable, or is too much, clients should speak up.

How Much is it?

• 15 minute session $20

• 30 minute session is $40 

• 60 minute session is $70   

• Payment by cash or credit is accepted.

Group Elder Care Recommendations

30 minutes will allow for care of one client with a 15 minute massage.

60 minutes will allow for the care of 2-3 clients with a 15 minute massage for each.

90 minutes will allow for the care of 3-4 clients with a 15 minute massage for each.
