The faculty in our programs will:
Post your course outline and addendum by the first day of your course.
Mark and return evaluations within 2 weeks.
Respond to your emails within 48 hours (not including on weekends).
Provide direction and explanation of the course learning material.
Provide ways for you to engage with the faculty and with each other.
Adhere to all of Seneca College's Policies and Procedures.
As nurses, we will follow the standards and practices of the College of Nurses of Ontario.
The Students in our programs will:
Submit their assignments on time, online through blackboard.
Request an extension of their assignment for emergencies by emailing their professor ahead of time.
Check their emails every day (Monday through Friday) and respond to professors and classmates in a timely manner.
Include their course name (Example: NLM102), their course section (Example: KAA) their name as it appears in blackboard gradebook and their student number in every email.
Attend live online or in-class sessions.
Provide professional engagement in all classes, both online and in-class. This includes participation verbally, in chats and by engaging in group activities.
It is the students responsibility to engage in the learning provided. It is NOT the faculty responsibility to lecture on all content. Learning is designed with the best evidence based learning theories. Lecture only learning is not best practice.
Students must complete all pre-class learning, including reading and learning activities in order to be prepared to apply learning.
