ideaNexus is a part of a site system known as the HelpWeb for Students - for more info, click the button right
In many cases, your idea needs money to become a reality. Money you don't have. That's not a huge problem, actually, when there are many organizations, including the Canadian government, which offer grants and loans to good projects. They even have specific grants and loans for students and youth who have good ideas.
The thing is though, you need an application -stating why your idea is good, the specific details of your idea, what exactly you need to use the money for... and so on.
NOTE: Most of these grants have a mimimum age limit: typically 18 years if going by age or first year-university if going by education level
Below is a list of some organizations which offer grant funding.
Included is a link, basic info, what industries they pertain to, how much money they offer, what time range the application is open/closed/deadlines, and recommendations for who should apply (prerequisites)
Grants are also industry/topic specific, grants for solving specific issues like mental health, anthropogenic climate change, education, seniors wellness, etc.
At the top of each "entry" (organization section) there is a flashing gif file which indicates the status of the applications. (See right)
In order from top to bottom in each section: Closing Soon (yellow), Open Now (green), Closing Soon (blue), and Now Closed (brown)
Note: Even if the applications are closed, you can still prepare your grant application, get it ready, and then be one of the first to submit an application the moment applications to that grant open.

Some sites offer many grants, like the Governments of Canada, Ontario, and Toronto, as well as some large businesses and NGOs. They are in this section, where a grant of some kind is open consistently.
