A brief description of the problem
The steps that caused the problem
Please do not email receipts, warranty documents, exported backups, serial numbers, or other sensitive personal information unless specifically requested.
1. Does Warrantly require an account?
No. Warrantly does not require registration or an online account.
Your records and documents are stored locally on your device.
2.Does Warrantly upload my documents to the cloud?
No. Warrantly does not operate its own cloud-storage or synchronization service.
Your documents are processed and stored locally. Warrantly only presents your device’s system share interface when you explicitly choose to export a backup.
3.How do I add a warranty?
Open Warrantly and select the option to add a new warranty.
You can photograph a receipt or document using your camera, select an existing image, or import a supported document from your device. Review the information before saving the warranty.
4.How does document scanning work?
Warrantly uses on-device optical character recognition to identify text from selected documents.
Text recognition is performed using Apple Vision on iOS and Google ML Kit on Android. Results can vary depending on image quality, document layout, lighting, and text clarity.
Always review recognized information before saving it.
5.How are warranty expiry dates calculated?
Warrantly calculates a warranty expiry date using the purchase date and warranty duration you provide.
You should verify the calculated date against the original warranty terms issued by the manufacturer or retailer.
6. How do warranty reminders work?
If you enable notifications, Warrantly can schedule reminders for approaching warranty-expiry dates.
Notification delivery depends on your device settings and operating-system scheduling. Make sure notifications are enabled for Warrantly in your device settings.
7. Why am I not receiving reminders?
Check the following:
Notifications are enabled for Warrantly
A valid warranty expiry date has been saved
Reminder settings are enabled in Warrantly
Battery-saving or focus settings are not suppressing notifications
The application has permission to send notifications
8. How does the app lock work?
Warrantly can use Face ID, fingerprint authentication, or your device credentials to restrict access to the application.
Warrantly does not receive or store your biometric information. Authentication is handled by your device’s operating system.
9. How do I export my information?
Use the Export option within Warrantly.
The application creates a ZIP file containing your warranty records and original documents. Your device’s system share interface then lets you choose where to save or send it.
You may be able to save the file using Files, iCloud Drive, Google Drive, email, AirDrop, or another installed application.
Exported ZIP files are not encrypted by Warrantly. Store them only in a secure location.
10. Does Warrantly automatically back up my information?
No. Warrantly does not automatically send your information to a Warrantly-operated server or cloud-storage service.
You must manually create an export if you want a separate portable copy of your records.
Your device manufacturer or operating-system provider may separately provide device-level backup services controlled through your device settings.
11. How do I restore an exported backup?
Use Warrantly’s import or restore option and select a compatible ZIP file previously exported by Warrantly.
Do not modify the contents or structure of the exported ZIP file before restoring it.
12. Can ideaforgelabs recover a deleted record?
No. ideaforgelabs does not keep an online copy of your records or documents.
A deleted record can only be recovered if you previously created a valid export containing it.
13. What happens if I uninstall Warrantly?
Uninstalling Warrantly may permanently remove its locally stored records and documents.
Create an export and store it securely before uninstalling the application or changing devices.
14. How do I delete all Warrantly data?
Use the option to erase or clear the local vault within Warrantly.
You can also remove the application from your device. Before deleting anything, create an export if you may need the records later.
15. Can Warrantly confirm whether my warranty claim will be accepted?
No. Warrantly is an organization and reminder tool.
Warranty validity, coverage, claim approval, and service eligibility are determined by the relevant manufacturer, retailer, warranty provider, or service provider.
