Warrantly is provided by ideaforgelabs (“ideaforgelabs,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). Warrantly is a local-first mobile application for organizing product receipts, warranty records, invoices, and service documents.
Warrantly does not require an account and does not operate an application server.
We do not collect any information about you or your use of the app. Warrantly contains no analytics, telemetry, or crash-reporting software, and it makes no network requests at all. Documents and warranty information added to Warrantly are processed and stored locally on your device, and nothing is sold, rented, or used for advertising or tracking.
When you choose to add information to Warrantly, the application may process the following information locally:
Receipt, warranty, invoice, and service-document images or PDF files
Product name, brand, model, retailer, purchase date, warranty duration, warranty expiry date, and notes
Text recognized from selected images using on-device optical character recognition
Application preferences, including appearance, reminders, and app-lock settings
This information is used only to provide Warrantly’s document organization, search, warranty calculation, reminder, export, and restore functionality.
Warrantly does not include:
User accounts or online profiles
Advertising SDKs
Behavioral analytics or user tracking
Email inbox scanning
Location collection
Contact collection
A Warrantly-operated cloud-storage or synchronization service
Because Warrantly does not operate an application server, ideaforgelabs does not receive your saved documents or warranty information during normal application use.
Warrantly may request access to the following device features:
Camera: Used to photograph receipts, invoices, and product documents.
Photos and files: Used to import a document that you select.
Notifications: Used to deliver optional warranty-expiry reminders.
Face ID, fingerprint, or device credentials: Used to operate the optional app lock. Warrantly does not receive or store your biometric information.
Permissions are requested only when needed for the relevant feature. You can review or change these permissions through your device settings.
Warrantly may use optical character recognition to extract text from selected documents.
Text recognition is performed on the device using Apple Vision on iOS and Google ML Kit on Android. Recognized document text is not uploaded to ideaforgelabs.
Saved documents and warranty information are stored in application-private storage on your device.
Warrantly does not automatically upload your records to a Warrantly-operated server or cloud-storage service. Android operating-system cloud backup is disabled for Warrantly.
Your device manufacturer or operating-system provider may separately provide device-level backup services. These services are controlled by your device settings and are governed by the provider’s privacy policy.
When you explicitly select the Export option, Warrantly creates a portable ZIP file containing your records and original documents. The application then presents your device’s system share interface.
You decide whether to save or send the exported file using services or applications installed on your device, such as Files, iCloud Drive, Google Drive, email, AirDrop, or another application.
Warrantly does not automatically send exported files to any person or service.
Exported ZIP files are not encrypted by Warrantly. Their storage, transmission, and security are governed by the destination application or service you select.
Your information remains on your device until you:
Delete an individual record
Erase the local Warrantly vault
Uninstall Warrantly
Reset your device
Allow the operating system to remove the application’s data
Because ideaforgelabs does not maintain an online copy of your records, we cannot recover documents or information deleted from your device.
We recommend creating a manual export and keeping it in a secure location before uninstalling Warrantly or changing devices.
Warrantly relies on certain operating-system services to provide features such as text recognition, biometric authentication, notifications, file selection, and system sharing.
These services are provided by Apple or Google as part of your device’s operating system. Warrantly does not use third-party advertising or behavioral-tracking services.
If you choose to export information to another application or service, your information will be handled according to that third party’s privacy policy.
Warrantly’s public information, Privacy Policy, Terms of Use, and Support pages may be hosted using Google Sites.
Google may process limited technical information when you visit these web pages according to Google’s own privacy terms. This website processing is separate from the Warrantly mobile application.
ideaforgelabs does not intentionally add advertising or behavioral analytics to these pages.
Warrantly is not designed to collect personal information from children.
Because Warrantly does not provide user accounts or operate an application server, ideaforgelabs does not knowingly collect personal information from children through the application.
Warrantly uses application-private device storage and may provide an optional biometric or device-credential app lock.
However, no storage system can guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for keeping your device secure and for choosing secure destinations when exporting your records.
We may update this Privacy Policy when Warrantly’s functionality, legal obligations, or data-handling practices change.
When we update this policy, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
