The club was honored to have the District Governor from Lions District 6C join us on Sept 19, 2024. DG Willa spoke on the many community service projects that our club is performing for Idaho Springs and the effort of lions Clubs International Foundation with disaster relief throughout the world.

Each month we join with Loaves and Fishes Food Pantry to encourage shoppers at the local Safeway to purchase needed items and then to drop them off in our donation boxes as they leave.

Each year, the lions Club presents a scholarship to a graduating senior at our local Clear Creek High School.
Lions Annie and Jeff presented the award:
Lions Club International has a program to recycle used eyeglasses all over the world. The Idaho Springs Club collects used eyeglass at businesses all over town, plus from the lost-and-founds from several nearby casinos.
On Thursday, members of the club met to sort the eyeglasses into groups or Prescription glasses, Reading glasses, and Sunglasses,

As a fund raiser each year, the Lions Club helps with the Fall Foliage Relay Race, which runs from Idaho Springs to Buena Vista.
