Information Communication and Technology (ICT) is a TVL strand taken in senior high school during grade 11 and grade 12. ICT is a strand connected to the modern technology. It teaches students about hardware and software components of computers, configuring network, maintaining computer conditions, and customer services for future career opportunities that students can take after graduation.
ICT isn't just about programming, web designing, and game development. It encompasses much more than that. An ICT student strives to learn and understand how a computer works. You will be taught how to assemble and disassemble a system unit, set up and manage networks, install operating system, perform basic binary arithmetic, and repair and troubleshoot devices.
A Certificate of Competency (COC) it is issued to individuals that has demonstrated the skills and knowledge necessary to perform certain tasks or roles.
