SETTING UP NETWORK SERVER
This part will teach you how to set up the network server in a windows server PC.

SET UP THE NETWORK SERVER
PC SERVER
Click the Add roles and features button in the Server Manager.
Press the "Next" button.
Press the "Next" button.
Press the "Next" button.
Checked the following:
Check the Active Directory Domain Services
Press the "Add Features" button.
check the DHCP server.
Press the "Add Features" button.
check the DNS server.
Press the "Add Features" button.
Select "Expand/Collapse" from the "File and Storage" menu.

check the DFS Namespaces.

Press the "Next" button.

Verify 🗹 LPD Service
Press the "Next" button.
Press the "Install" button.
Press the "Close" button.
Press the (flag icon) in the Notifications section.
Press Promote this server to a domain controller
Select the deployment operation to Add a new forest Type your domain name (ex: mdc.local)
Press the "Next" button.
Fill-in the Directory Services Restore Mode (DSRM) password, for example:
Password: p@ssw0rd
Confirm Password: p@ssw0rd
Press the "Next" button.
Press the "Next" button.
Press the "Next" button.
Press the "Next" button.
Press the "Next" button.
Press the "Install" button.
Press Close button to sign out, then the PC will restart Login to Administrator account
Press the Notifications area (flag icon)
Press Complete DHCP configuration
Press Next button
Press Commit
Press Close button
CONFIGURE DHCP SCOPE
Press the Tools option
Select DHCP
Extend your domain name (ex:mdc.local).
Right-click IPv4
Choose a New Scope
The screen will display the New Scope Wizard.
Press the "Next" button.
Enter the name of your new scope on the Scope Name screen.
(For instance, TechVoc Department)
Press the "Next" button.
Enter the following information in the IP Address Range screen:
IP address to start: 192.168.0.2, for example
IP address at the end: 192.168.0.50, for example
Length: (for example, 24)
Subnet: 255.255.255.0, for example
Press the "Next" button.
Simply leave the Add Exclusion and Delay screen empty.
Press the "Next" button.
Simply leave the Lease Duration screen empty.
Press the "Next" button.
Choose "Yes, I want to" from the Configure DHCP Options screen.
Set up these settings right away.
Press the "Next" button.
Enter the IP address on the Router (Default Gateway) screen.
(for example, 192.168.0.1) of your router
Press the "Add" button.
Press the "Next" button.
Click Next on the Domain Name and DNS Servers screenbutton
Simply leave the WINS Servers screen empty.
Press the "Next" button.
Choose "Yes, I want to activate this" on the Activate Scope page.

CONFIGURE DNS
Select the Tools option.
Choose DNS.
Extend your domain name (mdc.local, for example).
Select Forward Lookup Zones using a right-click.
Choose a New Zone
The screen will display the Welcome to the New Zone Wizard.
Press the "Next" button.
Choose Primary Zone from the Zone Type screen.
Press the "Next" button.
Choose every DNS server that is operational on domain controllers in domain name: mdc.local.
Press the "Next" button.
Enter the name of your zone (techvoc.mdc.local, for example).
Press the "Next" button.
On the screen for dynamic updates, choose "Allow only secure."

Select the Reverse Lookup Zones folder with a right-click.
Press New Zone
The screen will display the Welcome to the New Zone Wizard.
Press the "Next" button.
Choose Primary Zone from the Zone Type screen.
Click "Next."
Choose every DNS server that is operational on domain controllers in
domain name: mdc.local
Press the "Next" button.
Choose IPv4 from the Reverse Lookup Zone Name screen.

Enter the network ID, such as 192.168.0.
Press the "Next" button.
Choose the "Allow only secure" option on the Dynamic Update screen.

ENROLL COMPUTER TO DOMAIN
CLIENT PC
Select the icon for File Explorer.
This PC can be right-clicked.
Select Properties.
Select "Change settings."
Select "Change."
Click the Domain radio option.
Enter the domain name (for example, mdc.local).
Press the OK button.
Enter the password (for example, Administrator) and user name (for example,
p@ssw0rd
Press the OK button.
To restart the computer and implement the changes, click the OK button.
Press the "Close" button.
Press the "Restart Now" button.
Press the ENTER key or click the right arrow.
Open your user account and log in.
CREATE USER
SERVER PC
Select the Tools option.
Choose Computers and Users in Active Directory
Click your domain's Expand/Collapse symbol.
Select Users using a right-click.
Choose New
Select "User."
Create a user and enter the following data below:
First name: April Joy, for example
Initials: (for example, D)
Last name: Palahang, for example
Name of user logged in: (ex: AprilJoy)
Press the "Next" button.
Make your own
The password is p@ssw0rd.
Verify your password: p@ssw0rd.
Remove the first checkmark from the "User must change password at next" box.
Log in
Press the "Next" button.
Press the "Finish" button.
PC CLIENT
Keys Alt + F4 should be held.
By selecting Switch User, you can click the arrow down.
Press the OK button.
Choose Another User
Enter the password (for example, AprilJoy) and user name (for example, P@ssw0rd)
REMOTE DESKTOP CONNECTION
IF YOU WANT TO REMOTE THE SERVER:
SERVER PC
Select the icon for File Explorer.
This PC can be right-clicked.
Select Properties.
Select Remote Settings.
Choose to permit remote access to this computer.
Select users.
Press the "Add" button.
Click Check names after entering the domain in the object name.
Choose Domain Users
Press the OK button.
Press the OK button.
Press the OK button.
Press the "Apply" button.
Press the OK button.
CLIENT PC
On the Search bar, type Remote Desktop Connection Type the IP Address of SERVER PC (ex: 192.168.0.2)
Click Connect button
Select Use another account
Type the following:
User name: Administrator
Password: p@ssw0rd
Click OK button
Click Yes Wait for a moment until it connects the SERVER PC
IF YOU WANT TO REMOTE THE CLIENT:
CLIENT PC
On the Search bar, type Allow and select Allow remote access to your pc
Enter the following:
User name: Administrator
Password: p@ssw0rd
Select Allow remote connections to this PC
Select users.
Press the "Add" button.
Click Check names after entering the domain in the object name.
Choose Domain Users
Press the OK button.
Press the OK button.
Press the "Apply" button.
Press the OK button.
PC SERVER
Type Remote Desktop Connection into the search bar.
Enter the client PC's IP address (for example, 192.168.0.3).
Press the "Connect" button.
Choose "Use another account."
Enter the following:
User name: Administrator
Password: p@ssw0rd
Click OK button
Click Yes button
NOTE: Look at your CLIENT PC and click the OK button to allow
the connection from another machine
Wait for a moment until it connects the CLIENT PC
FOLDER REDIRECTION
SERVER PC
On the desktop, create a new folder.
Change the name to REDIRECTION.
The REDIRECTION folder can be right-clicked.
Select Properties.
Select the Sharing tab.
Select "Share."
Click the down arrow and choose "Find People."
Click "Add."
On the object name, type domain and click Check names
Choose Domain Users
Press the OK button.
Press the OK button.
Choose Read/Write from the Permission Level menu.
Press the "Share" button.
Press the "Done" button.
Select "Advanced Sharing."
Select the "Share this folder" option.
Press the "Permission" button.
Press the "Add" button.
On the object name, type domain and click Check names
Choose Domain Users
Press the OK button.
On Full Control, tick the box.
Press the "Apply" button.
Press the OK button.
Press the "Apply" button.
Press the OK button.
Make a copy of the network path.
Press the "Close" button.
Click Tools in the Server Manager.
Choose Group Policy Administration.
On Forest: mdc.local, click the Expand/Collapse icon.
On Domains, select the Expand/Collapse symbol.
Click the domain name's Expand/Collapse symbol (for example:mdc.local)
The domain name can be right-clicked (for example, mdc.local).
Click on Create a GPO in this domain, then click Link.
Redirection is an example of a new GPO name.
Press the OK button.
The GPO you created (for example, Redirection) can be right-clicked.
Select Edit.
Click the User Configuration button two times
Click the Policies button twice.
Double-click the Windows Settings menu.
Double-click the Redirection Folder.
To redirect a folder, right-click on it (for example:
Desktop
Select Properties.
Choose Basic + Redirect.
Paste the network path you copied onto the Root Path.
Press the "Apply" button.
Press the "Yes" button.
Press ok button.
CLIENT PC
Enter the command gpupdate /force in the search bar.
Hit the ENTER key.
Hold off till it's okay to log off. will show up
To log off the computer, type Y and hit the ENTER key.
Enter the password and log in to the user account (for example, AprilJoy).

SERVER PC
Check if the file on CLIENT PC is redirected
Click REDIRECTION folder
Click the user’s folder (ex: AprilJoy)
Select the Desktop folder.
Press the "Continue" button.
Select the Security tab.
Select "Advanced."
Select "Change."
Click Check names after entering the domain in the object name.
Choose Domain Administrators
Press the OK button.
Press the "Apply" button.
Press the OK button.
Press the OK button.
Press the OK button.
Press the "Close" button.
Click the Desktop folder once more.
Press the "Continue" button.
CLIENT PC
Go to redirected folder (ex: Desktop)
Create a new file using the Notepad application and type your
complete NAME, AGE and ADDRESS
FILE AND PRINTER SHARING
NOTE
• Plug the power cord of the printer and turn it ON
• Connect the USB cable from the printer to the USB port of the System Unit
SERVER PC
Install the printer's driver (for example:
JAUsHomeExportAsiaML L360_x64_222
Type Control Panel into the search bar.
Select Hardware.
Select Printers and Devices.
Click on Scanners & Printers.
Locate the name of your printer (for example, Epson L360 Series) and right-click.

Choose Printer Preferences
Click the Sharing tab on the Epson L360 Series Properties page.
Check the box on 🗹 Share this printer
Press the "Apply" button.
Press the OK button.
CLIENT PC
Enter the SERVER PC's IP address in the search bar (for example:\\192.168.0.2)
Hit the ENTER key.
Look for the printer that is installed, then double-click the printer icon to
Install and connect the driver.
Open the Notepad file that you saved inside the redirected folder .
After that, print your file by opening the print window by pressing Ctrl + P.
Click the "Print" button.
