Power for Youth -

ALS Secondary

As part of systems strengthening for ALS, UNICEF Philippines has embarked on an on-going modelling in the use of 60 contextualized activity-based supplementary lessons (and learners' worksheets) that focus on developing 21st century skills among disadvantaged adolescents in Zamboanga del Norte. These modules were developed by 130 ALS implementers from the province who were capacitated and empowered in designing and implementing local innovations.

Designed to cater to diverse groups including indigenous peoples and Muslim learners, these modules were developed after mapping competencies across the ALS 2.0 curriculum and MYDev life skills modules. [NOTE that not all ALS 2.0 competencies were covered.]  Based on initial feedback from field implementations, these worksheets have made learning more relevant, practical and interactive.

You may access the individual supplementary materials (lessons and worksheets) by clicking on the learning strands below. The zipped folder of all PFY ALS modules is also available HERE.

Interactive versions of the supplementary learning materials are also available in each of the PFY LS pages. These were developed by adapting content from available materials (i.e. text, videos, assessment, games, etc.) curated from online sources. Appropriate and relevant citations to these online sources are provided for easy referencing. Images were mostly sourced from freepik.com while some were produced with the use of Canva.
