Resources to complement existing ALS materials

DLP.PH houses thousands of learning activity sheets (LAS) that are aligned with the DepEd ALS 2.0 curriculum and were developed by the teaching faculty from Ateneo de Zamboanga University in partnership with Smart Communications, Inc.

 The integration of Central Visayas Institute Foundation (CVIF) - Dynamic Learning Program (DLP) to DepEd's Alternative Learning System helps creates huge impact to mobile ALS teachers and implementors as they are able to better handle learners with different skill levels at the same time. For ALS learners, DLP is a convenient learning option given their learning challenges.

 The set of LAS available at DLP.PH reflects the following ALS learning competencies: A) English and Filipino Communication Skills; B) Scientific and Critical Thinking Skills; C) Mathematical and Problem-Solving Skills; and D) Understanding the Self and the Society.

"The YES!ACADEMY is a Moodle-based e-learning platform where young people can access job-relevant skills training and gamified courses for free.

It is  designed for youth who have difficulty accessing traditional methods of education because of social and economic challenges. It engages students in virtual environments and supports their learning through courses developed

by Plan International and partner organizations."

Alternative Learning Directory is a free listing service powered by AralMuna Web Solutions. It aims to provide a complete directory of Department of Education’s Alternative Learning Centers all over the Philippines together with real-world learning resources available to any lifelong learner.

Internet of Good Things (IoGT) hosts mobile-packaged content designed to make life-saving and life-improving information available for free, even on low-end devices. Topics and issues on Internet of Good Things include maternal health, hygiene, HIV and sexual health advice for adolescents, Internet safety, positive parenting techniques and more. Including multimedia elements and 2-way communication features, the IoGT platform can also be used to capture feedback and local best practices from communities through polls and survey functionalities.

This Knowledge Channel’s series was developed in partnership with the Department of Education-Bureau of Alternative Learning System (DepEd-BALS). The episodes support and enhance the ALS modules, and help in the development of the ALS learners’ creative thinking and learning, and entrepreneurial and livelihood skills.

The Globe eLibrary is both a web platform and mobile application that provides students and educators with free and quick access to digital story books and eLearning videos (including those from Text2Teach). It features age-appropriate and engaging educational resources tailored to children and young adults in the Philippines. Through the free service, teachers and parents could make full use of the wide selection of content to create a fun and engaging educational experience.

The eLearner videos are made up of interactive videos that originated from a well-renowned program called Text2Teach. Launched in 2003 by the Ayala Foundation, Globe Telecom, the Department of Education, and various organizations in tech and education, the program was designed to supply public schools with high quality video content and teacher training on utilizing mobile technology for learning.

TechVoc & Career Skills Development

The TESDA Online Program (TOP) is an open educational resource that aims to make technical education more accessible to Filipino citizens through the use of information and communication technologies. TOP provides an effective and efficient way to deliver technical education and skills development services to a broader audience/wide range of users/all learners at a lesser cost. The program currently offers 68 online training courses in the platform, categorized under several sectors. Among the top sectors being picked by the enrollees are: Electrical and Electronics; Tourism; Entrepreneurship; Information and Communications Technology; and 21st Century Skills.

Financial Literacy & Entrepreneurship Education

This training material was developed by the Power For Youth programme team in Montenegro to capacitate youth with basic financial literacy skills. Please note that the currency in in Euro but the content can easily be localized to the Philippine context.

This innovative handbook (includes a comic book) was developed and published within the project "Build your own future today", supported by various Ministries of the Republic of Tajikistan and financed by the World Bank.
