Southeast Asia is a patchwork of diverse cultures, owing to its geographical location as a crossroads of the world. Nowadays, Southeast Asia stands at a pivotal moment of transformation, influenced by rapid shifts in economic, social, cultural, and linguistic dimensions. Factors such as geopolitical rivalries, globalization, technological advancements, migration, and evolving educational paradigms are reshaping the region's socio-cultural fabric and language dynamics. As the region continues to evolve, critical questions regarding identity, cultural continuity, and language use have emerged as important areas for scholarly and pedagogical exploration.
This conference aims to provide a dynamic and interdisciplinary platform for researchers, educators, practitioners, and students to engage in critical discussions about the ongoing transformation of socio-cultural and language identity in Southeast Asia. We invite abstracts that investigate the complexities and intersections of language, culture, education, and society in this diverse and rapidly evolving region.
