Please review the official guidelines for oral and poster presentations, as well as instructions for session chairs at ICSAS 2026. These protocols ensure a seamless and engaging experience for all attendees in Taipei.
Panel Overview: Each panel session is scheduled for 80 minutes and typically features 3 to 4 presentations.
Presentation Time: Each presentation is strictly limited to 15 minutes.
Timekeeping: Strict adherence to the time limit is essential out of respect for your fellow panelists. The Session Chair and panel assistants will monitor the time carefully and provide gentle reminders (e.g., bell rings and "X minutes remaining" cards) as your time concludes. You are expected to wrap up your presentation promptly when the time is up. To ensure the schedule is maintained, the Session Chair reserves the right to gracefully interrupt and conclude any presentation that exceeds its allotted time.
Q&A Session: A consolidated 15- to 20-minute discussion period (combining the 5-minute Q&A allocation per presenter) will be held at the end of each session. During this time, audience members will be invited to direct their questions to all panelists.
Submission Deadline: To ensure a seamless flow between presentations, all presentation files must be submitted to the organizing committee at least one week prior to the conference. (Detailed submission instructions will be provided via email soon.)
Recommended Format: We highly recommend submitting your presentation as a PDF file to prevent any formatting, font, or layout distortions caused by different operating systems. There is no strict requirement for the aspect ratio.
No On-Site Updates: For logistical efficiency and to prevent delays, please note that we do not accept file replacements or updates on the day of the conference.
Provided Equipment: The conference will provide a Windows PC, projector, and screen in every room.
Personal Laptops: To minimize transition time between speakers, the use of personal laptops for presentations is strongly discouraged.
Special Requirements: If your presentation requires internet access, video/audio playback, or other specific technical support, please contact the committee well in advance.
Pre-Session Check: Please arrive at your designated room at least 10 minutes before your panel session begins to introduce yourself to the Session Chair and confirm your materials.
While ICSAS 2026 is primarily an on-site event, approved presenters may present virtually via Google Meet. The meeting link will be sent to virtual participants in advance.
Testing Requirement: All presenters joining remotely (either individually or as part of a hybrid team) must log in to the Google Meet room 15 minutes before their panel session begins to test their audio and video connections.
Slide Control Policy:
Sole Virtual Presenters: If you are presenting entirely online, you will be responsible for sharing your own screen and controlling your slides via Google Meet.
Hybrid Co-Presenting Teams: If your presentation involves both on-site and online co-presenters, the on-site presenter must operate the presentation file from the venue's computer. The online speaker will simply prompt the on-site partner for the next slide.
Time Accountability: Please note that if technical difficulties or connection issues occur during your presentation, your allotted 15 minutes will continue to count down. Any delays caused by personal technical issues will be absorbed into your own presentation time to ensure the panel finishes on schedule.
