Ivan Galvão - Biography

Ivan Galvão is Assistant Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering of ISEL - Polytechnic Institute of Lisbon (Portugal) and Integrated Researcher in CEMMPRE - University of Coimbra (Portugal). He is PhD in Mechanical Engineering (Production Technology field) by the University of Coimbra. His research field is materials joining and processing, specifically, welding technology and metallurgy, mechanical behaviour of welded joints, solid-state welding of similar and dissimilar materials and solid-state processing of materials. He has published many scientific papers in high impact journals and conference proceedings, and he has participated in several international conferences. The involvement in research projects, the collaboration with international journals and engineering associations, and the supervision of research works and theses have been other activities developed by him.
