Il tempo nelle lingue, il tempo della Linguistica

On the day before I-CONLangs III, the conference Aliquando – Il tempo nelle lingue, il tempo della Linguistica [Time in Languages, the Time of Linguistics] will take place at the University of Parma, bringing together scholars, students, and language enthusiasts, the meeting will offer a moment of reflection on one of the most fundamental dimensions of human language: the expression and conceptualization of time. The event is organized by the Gruppo ‘Mitridatə’ - Martedì interlinguistici and the Rotaract Club “Homaranismo- Mitridate” Distretto 2072.

The programme will feature distinguished speakers, including Louis de Saussure (Université de Neuchâtel), who will reflect on the linguistic legacy of Ferdinand de Saussure, and Giuseppe Gilberto Biondi (Università di Parma), with a contribution on the expression of time in Latin language and literature (with specific attention to Catullus). Alongside these invited scholars, the event will also include presentations by early-career researchers and students from the University of Parma, fostering dialogue between established research and new perspectives.

Held the day before the conference, Aliquando will provide an opportunity for participants already present in Parma to gather, exchange ideas, and begin discussing themes closely connected to the broader questions explored during I-CONLangs III.
