9/20/2026- Two of our best golfers came down to the wire today for the 2026 Club Championship. Todd Weatherly started very strong in defense of his title with two consecutive birdies. However, Brian Wohlford slowly crawled back with steady swings, clutch chipping, and some timely putts. In the end, Brian finished one shot ahead of Todd to win the 2026 Club Championship! It's Brian's third title and first since 2022. Congratulations Brian on a well earned victory! 

Ray Torres won his second Low Net Club Championship. His outstanding second round yesterday provided more than enough cushion today to earn the trophy. Ray also won this title in 2022. Congratulatons to Ray!

Todd Weatherly played a good round today and won first place in the first flight. Matt Quinn finished two shots to win second place in the same flight (Hole 15 will be in my nightmares for the foreseeable future). 

Steve Van Norman was the first place winner in the second flight. He finished two shots up on Rick Walker who rode a pair of tough birdies to get second place.

Tony Clingman was the first place winner in the third flight with a net 196, the third best net score of the tournament. Robert Blanche was able to secure second place in the third flight. Congratulations to all the trophy winners this year! 

The trophies will be presented at our annual awards banquet at Cattlemen's in Roseville on Saturday, November 14. Every member and one guest gets a meal for free. We will get a sign-up sheet out to you shortly. 

I am quite tired from doing the results so I believe I've earned a three week break from it. Coincidentally, that will be our next tournament. It's called 6-6-6. It's not meant to be demonic. It's intended to be fun. It's a two man team event. The first six holes will be four-ball (each player plays their own ball and team takes the best net score), the net six holes are a two-man scramble, and the final six holes are modified alternate shot. That will take place on October 10 with the first tee time at 7:30.
