After graduating from Kuwasawa Design School, Madam Yamakawa worked as a lighting designer at LD Yamagiwa Research Institute before becoming the Vice President of R.F.Yamakawa Co., Ltd. In 2011, she was appointed President and Representative Director of the company and later became Chairperson in 2021. Madam Yamakawa has been involved in various projects in different fields, including design production, managing Mie Actors Training School, and offering English conversation classes as the President of affiliated company Eos Collection Co., Ltd. In addition, she focuses on supporting the development of young people and, as a volunteer activity, gives special lectures on design at universities, vocational schools, and even local junior high schools in Japan and abroad.

桑沢デザイン研究所修了後、LDヤマギワ研究所にて照明デザイナーを務めた後、アール・エフ・ヤマカワ（株）の副社長を経て、2011年に同社代表取締役社長就任、2021年11月より代表取締役会長。関連会社（株）イオスコレクションの代表取締役社長としてデザインプロデュース、三重アクターズ養成所、英会話教室の運営をはじめ、多方面で様々なプロジェクトに携わる。また、若者育成支援にも注力しており、ボランティア活動として地元三重県の中学校をはじめ国内外の大学、専門学校へも赴き若い世代へのデザイン特別講義を行っている。

畢業於桑澤設計學院後，山川女士曾在 LDヤマギワ研究所擔任照明設計師，之後擔任 R.F.YAMAKAWA有限公司的副總裁。2011 年接任公司總裁兼董事總經理，並於 2021 年 11 月接任董事長。她參與了多個領域的專案，包括設計生產、管理三重演員訓練學校和作為附屬公司 Eos Collection Co.，Ltd. 的總裁，提供英語對話課程。此外，她還致力於支持年輕人的發展，並作為志願者活動，到日本和海外的大學、職業學校，甚至是三重縣的地方初中，提供設計講座。
