+ CATECHISM: In order to provide the best catechism for our children, we need committed and inspired catechists to offer their services in our Church. Should you feel you want to be part of this team, please contact Lorne Newing, our Catechism Coordinator.
Registration: All youth from grade one to nine should register today the 08-01 2023 and 16-01-1923 for catechism. All grade ones should supply a copy of baptism certificate. All youth who are transferring from another parish, should furnish a transfer letter, from previous parish and copy of baptism certificate.
Catechists Meeting: There will be a short meeting, today the 8th January 2023, with all catechists/prospective catechists after 09:00 am Mass.
Important Dates:
· 2023-01-08 and 2023-01-15 registration of Catechism Children
· 2023-01-08 Catechist meeting.
· 2023-01-22 Classes start
The catechist commissioning will be on 5thFebruary 2023. Thank you to all parents for your cooperation. We will have a mandatory Recollection day for the Catechists of our parish on 4th February from 10am to 1pm
+ ANNUAL RETREAT: Please take note of the annual Retreat and diarise it 24th evening to 26th March, that we as a family all can be part of this important spiritual renewal
+ PLANNED GIVING: All parishioners who are making use of monthly envelopes, to contribute, can find a envelope, marked with your name, at the entrance of the church. Please speak to Manuel De Abreu if you are interested to contribute in this way.
+ PARISH BUDGET F0R 2023: Please find a copy of the budget for the next year, 2023, at the entrance of the church. Thank you every person who so generously help to keep our parish financially afloat and able to fulfil all our Deanery obligations.
+ GROTTO & WALL OF REMEMBERANCE PROJECT: The improvements to this area are almost complete and look amazing. There are envelopes at the entrance of the Church, we humbly ask for donations towards this project. Thank you Martin Lourens for a job well done.
+ REPOSITORY/ROSARIES: Icons are available for purchase. Please ask Margaret or Lionete if you need anything new.
New Pastoral Plan Booklet now available at R20-00 as well as Joy of the Gospel Reflections for 2023 at R100 a copy.
The Liturgical Calendar for 2023 is also available at R30-00 each.
+ SHARING IS CARING: We thank you for your generosity in reaching out to the less fortunate members of our parish. Please speak to Father Shibu or Margaret if you need help with food. We urge all parishioners to help by bringing maize meal, instant porridge, pasta, soya mince, tinned food next week. Thank you for your generosity.
+ FOR SAFETY REASONS ALL PARISHIONERS SHOULD BE ON TIME. The gates will be locked as soon as Mass starts and will only be opened once all parishioners has exited the church.. Please be vigilant.
