1ST JANUARY. THE OCTAVE OF CHRISTMAS
Solemnity of Mary Mother of God
May your church grow in faith and become like Mary who took God's Word to her heart and gave the world its chance of salvation. Lord, hear us.
R: Lord, graciously hear us
May men find courage on this day when Jesus was named Saviour, and never lose their hope of peace on earth. Lord, hear us.
R: Lord, graciously hear us
Help us to share in your work of salvation by giving ourselves to those who need us. Lord, hear us.
R: Lord, graciously hear us
Fill our hearts with hope at the start of this new year; help us to accept the unknown, believing that nothing will be meaningless if we live by faith. Lord, hear us.
