My dear friends, we have come together because we remember the God who loved our grand-parents, our parents and their children. Let us pray to our Father, knowing that we have a human history and that he took part in it.
Proclaimer;
We pray for Christians throughout the world: may they keep the faith, which comes from the apostles and gives the power of salvation. Lord, hear us.
R: Lord, graciously hear us.
We pray for those who do not know our God: help them to live in truth and goodness, and give them the joy of knowing that you love them. Lord, hear us.
R: Lord, graciously hear us.
We pray for those who are persecuted because they love justice; let them know that the kingdom of heaven is theirs. Lord, hear us.
R: Lord, graciously hear us.
We pray for the generations yet to come. May we hand on to them the faith of your church. Lord, hear us.
R: Lord, graciously hear us.
Priest:
Lord God, help us to show that we believe in you. May we always live our faith and give faith to others. We ask this through Christ our Lord.
