+ Very important: PLEASE Sanitize AT THE ENTRANCE TO THE CHURCH. Even if you have been vaccinated, social distancing of one metre and sanitizing are still essential.
+ For safety reasons all Parishioners should be on time. The gates will be locked 5 minutes after Mass has started
+ Preparations For Holy Week: A Special Meeting for Parish Council will take place today after 09:00am Mass.
+ Palm Crosses: We are making the palm crosses for Palm Sunday on Friday evening the 8th April after Stations of the Cross. This is traditionally a wonderful time to bond as a parish, all are invited.
+ Palm Sunday: Will be celebrated on Sunday the 10th April. This is the start of Holy week and is commemorating Jesus’ return to Jerusalem.
+ Reconciliation Service: In preparation for Easter, we will have confession on Tuesday the 12th April at 18:30 pm. There will be an additional priest available.
+ Haggadah: This year we will be having Haggadah/ the Passover meal on Wednesday the 13th April at 18:30 pm. Please make use of the on-line booking service starting this week. Preparations are well on their way, and we thank everybody for your willingness to help. Please contact Margaret if you would like to join this work group or would like to make a donation. + Mass of the Oils/Chrism Mass: This year it takes place at Church of the Beatitudes, Swavelpoort, at 09:30 on the 13th April. All are welcome.
+ SHARING IS CARING:SHARING IS CARING: Should you need any help with food, please speak to Margaret or Father Shibu. Thank you for the donations you generously make every week. Please bring along: deodorant, toothpaste, soap, soap powder, female hygiene products and cleaning materials next week.
+ Repository: We have a variety of Rosaries, Crosses and other Icons available for purchase.
+ Bishops Lenten appeal: A second collection will take place every Sunday until Easter and form part of our Lenten alms-giving. Please use the envelopes provided. The money is distributed for the support of the Total Mission of the Church in South Africa.
+ Stations of the Cross: Every Friday in Lent, we will follow Jesus on the way to the cross. Let us become pilgrims and walk with our Lord. It is a wonderful time to reflect on our own spiritual strengths or shortfalls and how we have supported or denied Jesus in our daily lives. Time 18:30
+ Justice and Peace: We need more members for Justice and Peace Commission of our Archdiocese. All those who are willing to get involved please contact Granny Nkabinde.
+ Sanitizing prior to communion: Those who are receiving Holy Communion, please line up in advance to antisense your hands
+ Sanitizing of the Church: Please continue to sanitize the Church after Stations of the Cross on Friday evenings as well as after 07:30 Mass on Sundays.
+ Personal Safety: Parents should please accompany children when they need to go to toilet. This is necessary, for your children’s safety and to prevent kids from vandalizing the church’s property.
