As Archbishop, I am heartened to hear that most of our parishes and pastoral districts have seen an enthusiastic return to Church by many of the faithful in the early part of 2022.
As we slowly enter a new phase in the Covid-19 pandemic in which we witness a significant improvement generally, I believe that this is the right time to call all Catholics back to church-in person. Accordingly, I hereby instruct that all our parishes and pastoral districts fully resume normal Church practices and activities. Catechesis classes can now go back to their normal schedules. Sodalities and Associations should also be able to go ahead with their normal activities including carrying out their elections.
In line with this clarion call, I hereby reinstate the Sunday Obligation which had been suspended during the period of the strict Lockdowns. I encourage the Clergy and Parish Pastoral Councils to make every effort to reach out to those who are hesitant and those who have drifted away to encourage them to come back to Church and to participate actively again in the life of their communities.
Let us, however, continue to faithfully observe all the precautionary measures laid out in Government regulations, that is, social distancing, wearing of masks and sanitisation protocols.
With kind regards and best wishes, I remain
Sincerely Yours,

+ Thank you: Thank you Father for being here in our Parish this morning we appreciate it.
+ SHARING IS CARING: Should you need any help with food, please speak to Margaret so that we can help you. Thank you for the donations you generously make every week. Please bring along some tinned food, soup powder, soya mince and milk powder or long life milk next week. All donations can be placed in the container provided.
+ Repository: We have lovely new Rosaries available for purchase. Please make suggestions for additional items to stock and purchase from Lionete or Margaret. We also have a few more Calendars and Joy of the Gospel books available.
+ Catechism: All classes are starting today after 09:00 am Mass. Children should go to classes, as allocated, promptly. Registration of all learners for 2022 is closing next Sunday. Parents are
requested to return the registration forms to Catechists as per the child's grade in school. Please speak to Lorne if your child or children have transferred from another Parish or have not been part of the catechism formation before. Registration fee is R50.00 per child.
+ Youth: All those between 13 and 80 years old and interested in joining the youth, can please speak to Lorne after the 9 o'clock mass.
+ Sanitising prior to communion: Those who are receiving Holy Communion, please line up in advance to sanitise your hands
+ Very important: PLEASE SANATIZE AT THE ENTRANCE TO THE CHURCH. Even if you have been vaccinated, social distancing and sanitising are still essential. Half the capacity of the church may be filled during lockdown level one; in our case it is 110 people.
+ Sanitising of the Church: Thank you to young and old who are always willing to do this task after each Mass.
+ Personal Safety: Parents should please accompany children when they need to go to toilet. This is necessary, for your children’s safety and to prevent kids from vandalizing the churches property. We have to maintain a acceptable standard of hygiene and respect at church like we do at our own homes. Thank you for your co-operation.
+ Raffle: Be a DARLING and buy tickets to win a ROMANTIC MEAL FOR TWO at ABREU’S COFFEE to celebrate this MONTH OF LOVE. Tickets are R25-00 each. Details on the raffle form.
