TO CELEBRATE the birth of the Blessed Virgin Mary, the Christian Life Education (CLE) Department hosted a Marian Recollection entitled, ‘Loving like Mary Amidst Challenging Times’ last September 8, 2020 which aimed to give ICAns an opportunity to learn more about Mary’s life. The talk was given through Microsoft Teams by Fr. Wenifredo “Joji” Padilla III, O.P..
CLE Supervisor Mrs. Sharlene Rabelas opened the talk with a brief introduction of the esteemed speaker. Fr. Wenifredo’s talk mainly revolved around how ICAns can emulate Mary’s love through her experiences with God and Jesus Christ. An open forum followed, giving students the opportunity to pose any questions regarding the talk. Grade 11 CLE Faculty member Mr. Ramirez wrapped up the recollection with closing remarks.
Grade 10 CLE Teacher Mr. Gabriel Ramos remarks on the success of the event, “I could say that the online Marian Recollection was a success. Not just because the organizers were able to actualize the plan, and Fr. Wenifredo was able to share his meaningful reflection but many of the participants including our ICAns were led to reflect on the important role of Mary as an inspiration toward loving God. Many of my Grade 10 students shared the ways by which they were able to integrate their learning to their personal life and journey of faith.”
