FOLLOWING THE previous school years, the Student Council (SC) has launched the P.A.INT. Project once more. P.A.INT., which stands for Promising Active Integrity, is a year-round project that aims to embolden the values of integrity and honesty in students, especially academically. This year, the SC has taken this to different online platforms due to Online Distance Learning (ODL).
Since the promotions for this project have been moved online, the SC has released various publication material on sites such as Facebook and Instagram to further the reach and impact it has on students. In line with the theme of the project, these materials include study tips and a guide on citing sources properly. A video featuring two alumnae was also shown during the Homeroom period to encourage the student body to actively engage in academic honesty.
Kate Ong of 12-Solidarity, the Vice President of the Internal Campaigns and Services (ICANS) Committee, says that “P.A.INT. is an annual project, but given our current ODL situation, I believe that the P.A.INT. Project holds significant importance this year. Everyday, we are faced with so many temptations to cheat without facing any consequences. It is really up to us to go back to our values of honesty and integrity, and I hope that P.A.INT. can serve as a constant reminder to uphold these values, both online and offline.”
