LAST JULY 28, from 1:30 to 4 PM, the ICA Grade School (GS) and High School (HS) faculty participated in a recollection which culminated with a Mass on the theme “Igniting Joy and Love for the Mission.” This was organized by the HS CLE area, ICA Mission Office (ICAMO), and Information Technology (IT) Office, with Rev. Fr. Jose Joel O. Jason, Parish Priest of Mary Mirror of Justice as the speaker and presider.
Throughout the program, the faculty members partook in the presence of God and learned to rebuild their hardships into an advocacy with passion. They reflected on two motivational acronyms: TIRED for Transform, Identity, Recreate, Express, and Decrease, and CAST for Celebrate, Anticipate, Seek, and Take. In line with the main purpose of the occasion, these words seen in the light of the Gospel served as an inspiration for their Online Distance Learning (ODL) preparations and nourishment for their teaching. With these, the faculty hoped to be strengthened in facing the challenges of a new normal school year.
Following this event, the HS Faculty and Staff, parents and students, joined an online Marian recollection: “Loving Like Mary Amidst Challenging Times”. This recollection was conducted through Microsoft Teams last September 28 as a tribute to Mother Mary’s birthday. Here, participants reflected on the important role of Mary as an inspiration in their personal life as they journey in faith, loving God in the midst of this pandemic.
