LaTeX for the IB

A small LaTeX sort of guide tailored for IB students. As you may or may not know, LaTeX is a typesetting tool which is used for writing documents, particularly scientific and maths documents. LaTeX can be used to write EEs, IAs, or any other documents. However, the learning curve is a bit steeper than Microsoft Word, which might be discouraging for people who wanna learn it but aren't comfortable enough in order to write their EE or IAs on LaTeX.

The LaTeX Helper team over on the IB Discord server, along with other contributors, have decided to create a LaTeX guide tailored specifically for writing IB documents.

This document includes:

  • Boilerplate code for essential parts (EE title page, preamble, graphs, etc.)

  • Links to more in depth guides and most common packages used

  • French and Spanish support

Goal

The goal of this guide is to help IB students who want to write their documents in LaTeX but aren't very experienced with it. This guides assumes that the reader already knows what's LaTeX and some basic knowledge of LaTeX.
