Wil is a sixth-year industrial-organizational psychology doctoral student. He completed his M.S. in 2018 at Old Dominion University and B.A. in 2016 at the George Washington University (Raise High!), where he studied psychology and organizational sciences. He primarily researches occupational health psychology—chiefly, worker well-being, off-job work-related thoughts, and motivation. He especially enjoys conducting meta-analyses in R.

Wil has published in several peer-reviewed journals including Academy of Management Perspectives, Industrial and Organizational Psychology: Perspectives on Science and Practice, Journal of Business and Psychology, Journal of Personnel Psychology, and Stress and Health. He has presented at the annual conferences of numerous professional associations, such as Academy of Management, Association for Psychological Science, Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology, and Southern Management Association. During summer and fall 2019, he interned in the Office of the Chief Human Capital Officer at NASA Headquarters.

Wil is originally from the Chicagoland area, and he plays several instruments including guitar, bass, and ukulele.
