There is no need to go into the description and biology of humans, though humans are listed separately from Hyperbeings despite Hyperbeings being modified humans.
Humans and the Earth have a complicated role in the Hyperbeing universe. The Hyperbeings transitioned to this universe in what was supposed to be the 23rd Century, when humanity had become a flourishing interstellar civilization. The transition, however, caused a temporal disturbance which dragged the earth system forward in time by 700 years. Throughout the history of the Hyperbeings, humans exist in two major segregated groups; on earth, and off earth.
Diplomacy
With Earth situated well inside of Cerulean space, it was the Ceruleans with whom humanity made first contact. When a Cerulean sentry detected an earth craft outside of the Earth system, they sent diplomats to make contact and open dialogue. As humans began to spread to other star systems, the Ceruleans granted space for them to freely explore and colonize. Within a few decades, Ceruleans had given a narrow stretch of space between Earth and the edge of their space, allowing humans access to unclaimed territory.
When the Hyperbeing Transition happened, the Earth Union had effectively lost the Earth system. This event fractured humanity severely. Blaming the Hyperbeings for this state of affairs, the Earth Union cut diplomatic relations with the Hyperbeing Dominion, and Hyperbeings are officially banned from living in Earth Union space.
After the Transition, however, the Earth Union had lost many systems as they rejected the new leadership of the Earth Union.
