Spirit Bound was a project from the Pixel Jam 2025 where the theme "From the Dead" gave me inspiration on possession mechanics. The premise of Spirit Bound is the player (a spirit/ ghost) has to possess the skeletons to be able to interact with the physical realm and solve puzzles to escape the dungeon.

Too weak to interact with the physical world and too weak to use your spiritual powers to phase through. You, however, possess a power to reanimate and take control of the bones of skeletons and raise them up from the dead.

The Pixel Jam 2025 was a weeklong game jam where the theme "from the Dead" brought inspiration to try and create a unique mechanic where the player cannot leave the area unless they possess another unit.
Using this mechanic I tried to create a unique puzzle game that utilises pressure plates, switches, keys and locked doors along with some parkour courses to try and create a quick fun experience for the player.
With that said, there are features of the game which include;
Possession mechanics (Spirit to Skeleton)
Puzzle mechanics like switches/ keys and pressure plates
While lacking in many aspects given it was a game made for a Game Jam, there are plans to improve and polish the game further which include the likes of:
Sound Design via Music and SFX
Visual Bugs and Collision bugs (Skeleton mesh floating and Box Collider)
More Puzzles
Redefine level design as the original can get boring in some places
