Hyeji Jang has a Ph.D. in Educational Technology from Ewha Womans University.
Her primary research interests include Artificial intelligence in education (AIED), problem-based learning (PBL), and learning analytics.
Her doctoral dissertation, titled "Development and Evaluation of a Generative AI Chatbot for Providing Scaffolding in Ill-Structured Problem Solving", focused on designing a GenAI chatbot that adaptively offers conceptual and metacognitive scaffolding to support learners during ill-structured problem-solving processes.
Her future research aims to explore how AI can proactively provide scaffolding in learners’ ill-structured problem-solving processes.
