About Us

Hydrohouse values your health, your needs, and your welfare. We are aware of the age-selective domestic migration that has become more prevalent in recent years, raising the average age in some provinces and rural areas in Indonesia.

"In 2014, there were approximately 20 million Indonesians aged 60+ years old, a number which is expected to increase four fold by 2035".

It has come to our attention that when it comes to the topic of food nutrition and wellbeing, communities that largely consist of older persons are not being properly catered for. With special nutritional needs and an increased vigilance towards food choice, it is important that we can facilitate and fulfill such preferences for our older demographic.

Moreover, with the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic in mind, World Food Bank Indonesia has addressed that there is a need to broaden the food security agenda and our strategic commodities to a more balanced consideration of the availability, affordability, and quality of food for all.

Hydrohouse, an e-commerce distributor has partnered with SmartHydroponics to guarantee that our fresh produce is of the highest standard and in line with the following Sustainable Development Goals:

  1. End hunger, achieve food security and improved nutrition and promote sustainable agriculture (SDGs 2)

  2. Make cities and human settlements inclusive, safe, resilient and sustainable (SDGs 11)

  3. Ensure sustainable consumption and production patterns (SDGs 12)

Our Vision.

An Indonesia which is no longer threatened by food insecurity and whereby all citizens thrive off affordable, sustainable and quality produce. An Indonesia that does not view our senior citizens as dependents, but equals who shouldn't need to take a backseat when it comes to basic needs like nutritious and quality fresh produce.

Our Mission.

Our mission at Hydrohouse is to promote sustainable practices, good nutrition, and supply chain transparency by partnering with local smallholder farms and delivering quality produce to Indonesian households, particularly those facing geographic and socio-economic vulnerabilities.
