The Tordera catchment is located in the north-east of Spain, within the region of Catalonia. It encloses an area of 872.40 km². Originating in Montseny Natural Park, the Tordera River courses through to the Mediterranean Sea, shaping the Tordera Delta. While the basin's natural beauty and ecological significance are undeniable, it has become imperative to delve into the intricate dynamics of climate change. This study aims to find the impact of climate change on the frequency and severity of flash floods.
The aim of our study is to build a hydrological model of the basin and a hydraulic model. This will enable us to simulate and compare different flood scenarios over a predefined study area. We will analyze the impact of climate change on our area by comparing different possible scenarios.
