History

In 2014, Don and Ruth Ann MacPhearsons were new residents living in Spindle Tree. Partnering with HV leaders, they engaged and guided a group of volunteers to coordinate longer off-campus trips.

Today all residents and guests of Village Voyagers are grateful to
Don & Ruth Ann, as well as the original members,
for their volunteering and vision!

In 2018, Village Voyagers hosted a resident event and collected a boat-load of trip ideas spanning from a day to over 2 weeks.

That list, along with recommendations from current residents is a source of trips from which the Village Voyager Steering Committee (VVSC) plans the schedule year with the assitance and guidance of Avion Tours.

Who we are today

The Village Voyager Steering Committee (VVSC) determines and manages the trip schedule and they meet approximately 6 times a year.

Membership is generally for 2 years. Extensions are certainly possible.
