Entry level: ZERO HOURS REQUIRED:
-Take note of low altitude parameters.
- You will fly the TBM-930.
-Possible deployments: Winter storms, low pressure systems, tropical depressions, severe thunderstorms, some weak cyclones, and Category 1 hurricanes.
High Altitude Atmospheric Conditions Specialist (HAACS): 7.5 STORM FLIGHT HOURS REQUIRED:
-You will fly the Challenger 350 at or above 41,000 feet.
- You will take notes of the high segments of a storm.
- You can now fly in all types of storms!
USAF53rd Weather Reconnaissance Pilot: 15 STORM FLIGHT HOURS REQUIRED:
-Flies C-130J's between 500 and 10,000 feet inside of a storm.
- Most severe and intermediately powered hurricanes are your home!
Senior Hurricane Hunter: 25 HOURS REQUIRED:
-Can fly any aircraft in the fleet.
-Has more flexibility in mission assignments.
- Can assign some people missions with approval.
