Founded on Sunday, August 4th, 2024, the Hurricane Hunter Virtual Organization was formed based on the real-life group of the same name. The Hurricane Hunters has a unit in NOAA (National Oceanic Atmospheric Administration), based off of Lakeland, Florida, as well as a unit in the United States Air Force, formally known as the 53rd Weather Reconnaissance Squadron, based in Keesler AFB, located in Southern Mississippi. The aircraft fly under, through, and above storms to study them, and take note of wind speeds, precipitation, and more. They are helpful to civilians as they play a big part in forecasting a hurricane/cyclones track.
Joining the Infinite Flight Hurricane Hunters is a great choice that you will not regret. We have a blast flying into rough storms. It is like riding a really scary and bumpy roller coaster. Not only is it fun, but it is fascinating to take real meteorological observations as you fly.
You may be wondering... how do we operate on a mobile flight simulator? Well, the answer is easy! We use tools already in the simulator to operate. For example, you have the ability to view wind speeds in flight!Â
