Q: My friend wants to apply for RSR. What do I do?

A: Have them apply at https://sites.google.com/view/huresidentsuccess/apply-for-rsr.

Q: What do I do during a fire drill?

A: Unless you see fire or smoke, or are in imminent danger, you stay in the booth and follow any instructions that Public Safety Officers give you. DO NOT return IDs! If someone asks for their ID, politely ask them to evacuate and inform them that they can collect it once the fire alarm is over.

Q: Maintenance personnel/Student Aid is requesting access to the building and their ID isn't working. What do I do?

A: All Hofstra Plant workers and Student Aides will have swipe access to the buildings they need to enter. If their swipe is not working, they need to go to Campus Access and Security Systems (Room 110 Student Center) to get it fixed. If they need to get in immediately, you must call Public Safety and have them escorted in.

Q: What happens if the hours I was signed up for no longer work with my schedule?

A: You must submit a Permanent Hour Change Request for that semester.  Once your schedule has been changed, you will receive an email from us confirming the new schedule and explaining when the change/s will go into effect.
