In our last TikTok, we introduced you some websites selling second-hand clothes. We also made wishlists to make it funnier. Come and see our last TikTok.
Here are the list of all the websites that we selected:
We decided to select online sites and not physical shops because of the sanitary restrictions.
Our aim is to warn you about the harms of fast-fashion and cheap clothes. Indeed, instead of two seasons per year, the fast-fashion industry is subject to 52 "micro-seasons". Textile workers in developing countries don't earn a decent wage. The textile industry is the third most polluting industry in the world, and one of the largest consumers of water resources. Forced labour is also a big problem in this sector. It affects children in the fashion industry in Argentina, Bangladesh, Brazil, China, India, the Philippines, and other countries.
Buying second-hand clothing allows us to reduce or even avoid these aspects. Here are the advantages of buying second-hand clothing:
By buying second-hand, we reduce the demand for new products. At least, we don't encourage it. On the other hand, the longer an object lasts, the smaller its ecological footprint. So we limit the negative impact of what we make on our planet,
Second-hand clothing allows us to buy clothes for less. It is very economical,
This process allows us to offer a new life to the products.
