We welcome abstract submissions that question the status quo related to any tourism topic - from big data to wellness in tourism; from technology in tourism to spirituality in tourism; from food and cruise tourism to tourism education. We welcome positivists and interpretivists. We welcome those who work with dance pieces and images and we welcome those who play with numbers and figures. But most of all. We welcome work that disrupts the conventional and traditional. Be bold and be free to explore, experiment and challenge ideas. A presentation can be done in any language, as long as you can arrange for it to be translated into English. We also welcome diverse modes of delivery.
We will not accept just any abstract but we will bounce off reviewer and editor comments with you and work with you until we get there. We also need more than just the standard abstract submission in order to plan a conference that will address our goals of putting the human dimension back into our research, so please read the abstract submission criteria carefully.
We welcome you to join us and convene at the inaugural Humanising the Academy: A Tourism Conference for All, where we celebrate and center on the scholar and human within each of us in addition to focusing on tourism scholarship.
