The only identifying data other than your email address processed for this project is opt-in information if you want to:
a) Be part of the Humans Inside photo wall, or
b) Receive a Humans Inside sticker.
If you opt to for (a) to share a photo of yourself on the Humans Inside wall, with your first name and your country or city location, we (hereafter I, Sophia Burnett) will conserve that data for a period of 5 years (as specified by GDPR (EU) law).
This means you can contact us at any time during that time by email and request that we either:
· Remove and erase all your data
· Remove and erase part of your data
· Modify your name and/or location
· Modify (replace) your photo.
NOTA BENE: You must be over 16, or have express parental consent to share your name and photo on the Humans Inside page.
If you opt for (b) to receive a Human Inside sticker, we need your real name and postal address. Your data will be conserved for a period of 5 years.
This means you can contact us at any time during that period by email here and request that we either:
Remove and erase your name and address form the database
· Remove and erase either your name or your address from the database
· Modify your name and/or your postal address
Any modifications demanded will be effective immediately on the Human Inside site, and in storage will take effect as soon as third party servers (Tally.so) have updated. Tally is responsive so this is usually immediate, but know it could take several weeks for complete server deletion.
Participation in The Human Inside project is completely free of charge.
Your personal data is processed for the sole purposes of scientific research within the scope of the Human Inside Project (age, gender, location, language spoken) or for (only necessary) communication with you (email) or for community building (your photo, your name) or for sending you freebies (your name and postal address).
We will never sell your data.
We will never share your data with any third party who is not a scientist verified to have preregistered to work on the project via the Centre for Open Science.
Your data will only be processed for language science research purposes within the framework laid down in the preregistration with the Centre for Open Science, on 14th April 2024.
All identifiers in the edited texts will be pseudomnized.
