The Large Particle Flow Cytometry Platform at INCLIVA is a cutting-edge facility designed to enable high-throughput analysis and sorting of biological particles ranging from 20 to 1500 microns, surpassing conventional flow cytometry capabilities. Equipped with the COPAS FP-1000 system, this infrastructure allows precise characterization and isolation of large and fragile biological entities such as organoids, spheroids, zebrafish larvae, Drosophila embryos, Arabidopsis seeds, and encapsulated drug carriers. The platform integrates real-time parametric analysis for automated sorting based on size, optical density, and fluorescence parameters, significantly improving efficiency, reproducibility, and scalability in research applications. It eliminates the need for labor-intensive manual selection, reduces human error, and enables multiplexed, high-sensitivity detection through digital electronic sensing. The system is strategically positioned to support translational genomics, drug screening, developmental biology, and biopharmaceutical research, offering unique research capabilities for academic institutions, biotech firms, and pharmaceutical companies.
