Founded in 2021, the Roundheads Touch team quickly established itself within the IGR league. Seeing the team's growth within it's first year of conception, the team proudly competed in their first tournament in 2022, coming 5th in the first outing in the UK IGR North Touch league, hosting their own IGR Touch Series day. In 2023 the team held their 2nd Series Day with great success. The 2024 season saw the team take part in a newly reformatted league, performing admirably and representing the club in true Roundheads fashion.
Welcoming all genders, backgrounds and skills, touch rugby is the best social non-contact form of rugby you could join.
The Touch team train on Friday nights from 6pm to 7pm at the Hull University sports pitches on Inglemire Lane, Hull.
I’m Stu, Captain of the Hull Roundheads Touch Team. I joined when we formed in 2021 having never really played a team sport before (if you’d have told me I’d be playing touch rugby a few years ago I’d have probably laughed) Touch is a non contact, energetic game which is great for fitness, fun and making new friends. We’re an inclusive team and welcome all adults (male, female, non-binary, trans) from the straight and LGBTQIA+ community. Even if you’ve never played before come and give it a go.
