At the beginning of my freshman year in the STEM Program we were required to complete the grueling process of becoming OSHA certified. If you are unaware, OSHA stands for the Occupational Safety and Health Act passed in 1970, and is an industry standard of safety knowledge for the workplace.
Senior Year, I received my Microsoft Word and Microsoft Powerpoint Certifications after hours of practice and testing! I am so excited and happy that I passed the certification tests. I am now working on my Excel Certification and then Microsoft Word Expert. You can view my certifications here!
My mom and I have gone to Disney together for as long as I can remember, and when my friends mom started her own Disney Travel Agency, me and mom worked together to become a certified agent. While I was too young at the time to officially be one, I completed all of the course work alongside my mom. So while I am not technically certified yet (due to age), I do know all of the material information and plan on becoming officially certified once I am of age.
Through the STEM Program I have the unique opportunity to become certified in a vast range of different skills. I am currently working on a few of those, and by the end of the year I plan on being certified in Microsoft Office, Inventor, Revit, AutoCAD, and more.
