I am an Assistant Professor of Statistics at Ursinus College, in the beautiful location of Collegeville, PA.

From 2006-2014, I was a professor of Mathematical Statistics at two top schools in Venezuela: Universidad Simón Bolívar (USB), and at the Instituto de Estudios Superiores de Administración (IESA). I finished my first Ph.D. in Engineering in 2013 at USB.

While I love teaching and developing statistical methods as part of my research, the economic tragedies of my home country motivated me to also study economics.

From 2006-2019, I attended Florida State University and finished a second Ph.D. in economics. I worked with Dr. James Gwartney who developed the Economic Freedom of the World Index and has done significant work to connect the role of institutions to economic development.
