I am BKT Assistant Professor of Political Science at Wabash College. I received my PhD from Binghamton University, SUNY. Before coming to the US, I worked at the Chung-Hua Institution for Economic Research. I also have a bachelor's degree in Foreign Languages and Literatures from National Taiwan University.
My research focuses on international political economy. Specifically, I am interested in the negotiation process of preferential trade agreements. I have collected a novel Trade Bargaining Dataset (TBD) on trade negotiations to investigate both successful and incomplete talks. I am also interested in authoritarian politics, economic sanctions, and international (non-)cooperation.
My research has been published in the Review of International Political Economy, PS: Political Science & Politics, and Social Sciences.
I earned the 2024 Chancellor’s Distinguished Dissertation Award from the SUNY system and the 2023 Distinguished Dissertation Award from Binghamton University. One of my working papers won the Richard I. Hofferbert Best Paper Award in 2023. I also received the Graduate School Student Excellence Award in Teaching from Binghamton University in 2021.
