Huei-Jyun Ye

Welcome!

I am BKT Assistant Professor of Political Science at Wabash College. I went to Binghamton University, SUNY for my PhD. Before coming to the US, I worked at Chung-Hua Institution for Economic Research. I also have a bachelor's degree in Foreign Languages and Literatures from National Taiwan University.

My research focuses on international political economy. Specifically, I am interested in the negotiation process that leads to the formation of trade agreements. I have collected a novel dataset on trade negotiations to investigate both successful and incomplete talks. I am also interested in authoritarian politics, economic sanctions, and international cooperation.

My research has been published in the Review of International Political Economy, PS: Political Science & Politics, and Social Sciences. My dissertation earned the 2023 Distinguished Dissertation Award from Binghamton University. One of my working papers won the Richard I. Hofferbert Best Paper Award in 2023. I also received Graduate School Student Excellence Award in Teaching from Binghamton University in 2021.
